I have had a few questions from ladies on the forum who live quite far outside Grande Prairie about consults. I appreciate that it may not always be doable to come to Grande Prairie in person for these. I am in the process of seeing if I can set up the infrastructure for remote consulting (likely over Zoom or similar) and will post again here if this goes ahead. Watch this space!

I am a prescribing pharmacist based in Fairview, AB and I have been doing a lot of work with menopause management in our community (with a focus on evidence based prescribing). I am hoping to attend one of your upcoming Cafes to learn more about the model of care as we have been hosting some information sessions with a local adult learning organization with great success.
It has been really great seeing some of your prescriptions work their way further North. If there is any way that I can help support your consults in our community or ways that I can support your practice from the pharmacy perspective, I would love to collaborate further.

Hi Katilin, great to meet you! Thank you for your kind words, and hope we can connect in person at one of the menopause cafes. The more we can do to get evidence based menopause care to women in Northern Alberta, the better. That is so great to hear that this is something you have been supporting in Fairview. In terms of consults, I take referrals from prescribing pharmacists, as well as from doctors, so if you wanted to refer any women to me for advice and support, I would welcome that
